Let's just take a minute to enjoy the beauty of this magnificient cake. Just look at it. Now look closer because those aren't actually cherries gracing this cake. They're cake pops. What's a cake pop? Well a cake pop is a mixture of cake crumbs and buttercream shaped into balls. We glaze these cake pops with a beautifully shiny mirror glaze. What's mirror glaze? Well, mirror glaze is a white chocolate sugar glaze with a touch of gelatine (the key ingredient for making jelly) and it sets to give a sweet, sticky and very shiny surface. We have added food dye to make it look like a real cherry! This a shining example of the artistry of our bakers.
The Black Forest Royale cake is made with our beautifully light and moist chocolate cake, drizzled with cherry liqueur. In the middle you will find vanilla buttercream and cherry jam. The whole cake is expertly decorated in deliciously smooth chocolate buttercream. On top we have a swirled layer of chocolate hazelnut spread with a sprinkling of grated chocolate and a crown of our amazing mirror glazed cake pops.
